I am very passionate about music, so I wanted to take my music to the next level by not just enjoying it myself, but to use it to create happiness and joy in someone's life that they didn't have before. I thought that I could write a song that would be able to raise money to help do this. I came up with the idea of involving many kids in singing the chorus so that others could help raise money and feel good about participating.
First I had to write the music for the song. Then I wrote the lyrics for the chorus because in this case, the chorus is the most important ingredient. I wanted the chorus to be as best as it could be so that it would be catchy and memorable and fun to sing. Then I wrote the rest of the lyrics and started to record everything. I began by playing the song on the piano and recording the melody. Then I moved on to playing and recording the bass, then the drums, and finally the lyrics.
I've held 18 different recording sessions, with 140 kids in total singing the chorus. To do this, I set up a recording booth in my studio and also created a mobile recording studio so I could record at another location.
It has been an amazing experience working with so many different kids, ranging in age from 5 to 18 years old and in different schools, of different religions and of different musical training.
The result? Incredible! An awesome song, created by one kid, with the voices of 140 other kids, making a difference in the lives of countless people with disabilities.
100% of the money received from donations and the purchase of the song will go to help people with disabilities.
